When asked what his favorite meal was, food historian/critic Adam Gopnik replied:
“For the first time in 18 years, my wife and I were alone together, and what was the one thing I wanted to do? I wanted to cook for her again. I wanted to cook for her the things she’d enjoy.”
No matter how technical food and cooking gets, the most important component is the people who prepare and eat it. I think if food once again became focused on the people eating it rather than the convenience, price, location, or even “diet-friendly-ness”, all our obesity-related diseases would go away.
